Marti Berg Ritto

A petite 4'11" and 108 lbs - Ms. Berg has performed almost all of the leading ladies from the Gilbert and Sullivan Operettic cannon, including but not limited to: Yum Yum and Peep Bo, both from The Mikado, Rose Maybud from Ruddygore, Mabel, Edith and Kate from Pirates of Penzance, Patience from Patience, Iolanthe from Iolanthe, Elsie Maynard from The Yeoman of the Guard, Casilda and Gianetta from The Gondoliers, as well as Josephine from H.M.S. Pinafore.

Ms. Berg has graced the stages of such companies as the San Diego Opera, Sonoma City Opera, Lamplighters Music Theatre of San Francisco, Lyric Theatre of San Jose, TheatreWorks, Stanford Savoyards, Hillbarn Theatre, New Filmore Theatre of San Francisco, Lawrence Welk Resort Theatre, 42nd Street Moon, The Exit Theatre, Foothill Theatre among many others.

She has also directed many Gilbert and Sullivan operettas - along with a notable presentation of "The Zoo" by Sullivan and Rowe at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival held in Berkeley, CA in 1996.

Ms. Berg is a proud member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild), AFTRA, (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), AEA (Actor's Equity) and AGMA (American Guild of Musical Artists). All of Ms. Berg's performances with The Lamplighters and with 42nd Street Moon can be seen on VHS recording at the San Francisco Performing Arts Library and Museum.
